Numb, exhausted, empty, powerless... We all get tired at some point, but what if this state persists for months or years? When does one admit to being ill? When are we no longer normal and when does being tired bring us to the limits of our existence? Despression is an illness that is not fatal, but life-threatening. Nevertheless, this illness is exposed to great stigma.
In Müde, a duet is created that is in conflict with one another: The inner vs. the outer, the head vs. the body, wanting vs. not wanting. Müde tells the stories of many individual fates, which together form a portrait of the illness of depression in order to give this "monster" a face to fight against. Müde tries to give the relatives of those affected, the witnesses of this illness, an insight into the fragility of the human psyche and to understand why it is or was so difficult for a loved one to get up . The starting point for this creation is Rilke's poem "The Panther".
